DESIGN
EVOLUTION
At first there was the
rubber seated butterfly, then came the high
performance butterfly, we now have the metal
seated butterfly. With each
progression the performance of the valve has
improved dramatically. But what separates the
Tricentric from that of other manufacturers?
|
 |
| TRIPLE OFFSET GEOMETRY The offset design provides positive
contact between the body seat and the disc seal
rings. The eccentricity of the disc shaft to the
body seat allows the disc to move without
interference into and off of the seat thus
eliminating friction and wear.
|
 |
| METAL-TO-METAL SEATING Bubble-tight sealing is accomplished
using stainless steel/graphoil laminate seal
stack retained in the disc contacting the
integral body seat. Torque seating capable of
meeting the leak test shut-off requirements of
ANSI Class V or VI . The solid metal components
assure tight shut-off repeatability and because
the seat does not flex, seat adjustments are
eliminated. The metal seat design is inherently
fire safe and tested to API 607.
